Omaha Children’s Museum is partnering with nonprofit Heritage Omaha and early childhood experts to create a new museum inspired by best practices in early child development. The new museum would be filled with fun, inclusive exhibits and programming inspired by our community.
Facing Omaha’s vibrant and activated Heartland of America Park at The RiverFront, the site at 8th and Douglas streets creates the potential for Omaha Children’s Museum to reach more children and caregivers than ever before.
If all goes as planned and funding is secured, Omaha Children’s Museum would move to its new home in late 2027. It will continue to operate at 20th Street and St. Mary’s Avenue until then.
